Team Ministry

Never a TO-DO List, but a resource to build life-long relationships
Team Ministry
The Gathering Church from Coulterville, IL

With Team Ministry, our heart is to:

🟥 Live out the saying "People > Projects"
We value people over plans. Relationships will always come before checklists.
🟥 Serve in local churches, communities, and schools—wherever the Lord leads
We go where God opens doors, seeking to love, serve, and strengthen His people in churches, neighborhoods, homes, and classrooms.
🟥 Be a channel God can flow through to connect American churches and teams with those we love and serve here in Santiago
It is our joy to stand in the gap, helping create lasting, Spirit-led connections between the local communities and the churches and teams who come to serve.

Prior Ministry Examples:

❤️ Women’s Advancement – Host women’s gatherings where teams can share the Word, worship together, and teach practical skills like jewelry making, sewing, and homemade soap.

🧒 Kid’s Ministry – Through Bible stories, crafts, games, and simple joys like hugs and laughter, teams share the love of Jesus with children and show them they are deeply valued.

💒 Local Churches – Teams can partner with local pastors and congregations to lead children’s services, teach during adult gatherings, support the worship team through music, and simply be present in love and encouragement.

📚 Local Schools – In classrooms, teams can teach English, share God’s truth through Bible stories, sponsor students, uplift staff through service, and provide supplies to meet practical needs.

🙏 Community Evangelism – Go door-to-door to pray with women, families, and children we serve; teams can listen to their testimonies; and spend meaningful time with them as the Lord leads.

🚧 Construction Projects – Teams have built homes, bridges, classroom benches, clinic tables, and completed painting projects to serve local needs.

🩺 Mobile Medical Clinics – Through mobile clinics, teams can bring physical treatment while also caring for the spiritual needs to underserved communities.

🫂 Meeting Physical Needs – Whether it's providing food, clothing, or school supplies, teams can help meet the tangible needs of those we serve, responding with generosity and love as the Spirit leads.

No matter the team or the plans for the week, our mission stays the same: make disciples and build relationships.

We don’t chase projects for the sake of doing. We pursue people because God first pursued us. In all we do, we strive to be Spirit-led, loving well those He has entrusted to us.
