Back Home, Smiling Big while serving a Bigger God

We’ve been back in the Dominican Republic for almost a month now, and wow!!! We hit the ground running! So what has life looked like? Let’s break it down!
- Our dear friends and mentors, Jeff and Leah Wagner, visited us for a week! Their family plans to move to Santiago next June, and we could not be more excited to serve alongside them. Together, we visited furniture stores, Santiago Christian School, some of our favorite restaurants, and more.

- Every Friday, we’ve been gathering with Fanm Vayan! The women have started reading through Ruth. We have more information on these gatherings on one of our social media post!

- JJ had the privilege of preaching, as well as sharing during kids’ services at church.
But the most time-consuming (and joy-filled!) part of this month has been helping kids get into school and preparing them for their very first day.
By God’s grace, our team (RH2, Jamey and Madeline) has been able to enroll 15 students in school so far:
This process isn’t always simple. Many children lack official documents like birth certificates or vaccination records, but we are so thankful for our partnering schools. They’ve shown tremendous grace and patience as we navigate the paperwork hurdles. Once those details were sorted, we were able to cover inscription fees, monthly tuition, and provide school supplies, uniforms, and shoes.
All of this is possible because of the financial support RH2 receives. Watching a child’s face light up as they pick out their backpack, lunchbox, and notebooks is pure joy. Even more, it’s humbling to see how eager they are to learn. They don't want to go to school just to play with friends, but to truly learn!

Please pray for these sweet kiddos as they begin school on Monday, September 1st. Please also pray for the leaders of the school as they are doing incredible work and pouring the Gospel into their students!
We are so excited to see what The Lord has in store for these students and our partnering schools!
